This is a snapshot of what I’m focused on right now—work, projects, interests, and whatever currently has my attention. If you’ve never seen a “now” page before, think of it as a less formal version of an About page and a more honest version of “things are going great.”
Work
Most of my workdays are centered around logistics, customer support, and team leadership in a defense environment. A lot of that means helping solve supply and material availability problems, and making sure the right people have the right information at the right time.
I spend a lot of time balancing the practical side of leadership—supporting a team, clearing roadblocks, answering questions, keeping priorities straight—with the reality that large organizations are very good at making simple things take longer than they should.
Writing
I’m working on using this site as an actual home for writing instead of just another place where I tell myself I’ll post “once things settle down.”
What I’m most interested in writing here:
- short personal essays
- observations about work and leadership
- humor, annoyance, and commentary about modern life
- music, media, and technology thoughts
- accessibility and usability issues when they cross my path
- whatever topic won’t leave me alone long enough to be ignored
Music and comedy
Outside of work, I sing, write music, and do comedy. Those are three of the easiest ways for me to stay sane and feel like my brain is doing something other than triaging process problems.
Music has always been one of the more consistent parts of my life, and it’ll probably show up here in some form—whether that means playlists, song thoughts, or writing about the weird emotional power of a well-placed key change.
Comedy is a similar thing: part performance, part perspective adjustment, part survival skill.
What I’m trying to do better
A few things I’m actively trying to improve at the moment:
- writing more consistently without turning it into homework
- building a site I’ll actually use instead of endlessly tweaking
- making room for creative work even when the day job gets loud
- being more intentional about what deserves my attention and what doesn’t
- remembering that not every thought needs to become a fully developed essay to be worth posting
Current site goal
The main goal for this site is simple: make it a place that feels like me.
Not a polished professional brochure. Not a ghost town with one bio and no pulse. Just a clean home for writing, work background, and whatever else I want to put into the world without needing a social media algorithm to bless it first.
